Burkehaven is awesome! We have spent the last two years staying there
in October and will continue to do so for as many years that we're
able to. Our room is beautiful and has always been super clean and so
very comfortable, we just love it! Rick and Doris are the most
wonderful people and will go out of their way to make your stay
special and memorable. On our first stay at Burkehaven we met a group
of ladies that we all call the "Moose Ladies." We spent a
few nights out at the Gazebo chatting and getting to know them. They
are the best! Can't remember the last time we laughed this much! Now
we coordinate our plans every October to meet "The Moose
Ladies" at Burkehaven because we love it there and have so much
fun and are welcomed and treated like family by Rick and Doris!

the frazzled woman with my son who stayed with you on Tues. and Wed.
nights, and you let us stay an extra few hours on Thurs. while my
son was at the Mountain. I just wanted to tell you both what a nice
time we had, and how much we appreciated the personal touches, and
the whole experience of the Burkehaven, in general. We wish you a
very happy new years, and hope to come back to see you in the summer
sometime. Thanks again for such a nice time, and for having such a
lovely and welcoming place.

My husband and I have been going to the Burkehaven for
our anniversary every year. Doris and Rick have made our anniversary
special and memorable in a different way each year. This year Doris
gave us a "Taxi Ride" to the harbor to catch the dinner
boat. Every year my husband and I ride our motorcycles and this year
it poured when it was time for us to catch the dinner boat and thanks
to Doris we stayed dry for dinner! Over the past 7 years we have
stayed at the Burkehaven and enjoyed our stay more each year. They
have done a wonderful job with updating and decorating each room with
a beautiful touch of character. We highly recommend the Burkehaven!!! |

My stay at Burkehaven Lodge was wonderful. The owners
and staff made me feel welcome and right at home. I was free to enjoy
the amenities at my leisure. The room was very clean, organized and
comfortable. The view of the mountain in the morning was inspiring and
the perfect reminder for me to slow down, unwind, and relax- just what
I needed. The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen exhibit at nearby Mt.
Sunapee was incredible. The weather was extremely hot, so a dip in the
pool at the lodge or a visit to the nearby state beach were both
refreshing.
My visit was a delightful experience and I will definitely be back to
the Lodge when I visit the area again.

It is immaculate both inside and out. The rooms are
clean and comfortable and the grounds are well groomed. The owners
made us feel very welcome and were friendly and helpful. I am a 72
year old senior citizen and will definitely plan to stay there again
